About this bottle
Founded in 1889 and originating from the Gaelic term for "shaggy mountain," Benromach has survived ownership changes and periods of closure. The distillery was last idled in 1983 due to the economic downturn of that era. Gordon & MacPhail acquired the small distillery in 1994, resuming production in 1998. Their 30-year Speyside single malt whisky is matured for an extended period in carefully selected first-fill and refill sherry oak casks.
