Some consider this Benriach's finest finish. Perhaps there's a valid reason. Aroma: Exhibits a strong wine influence, with notes of the sweetest dark red grapes and chocolate truffles – primarily milk and white, with a hint of dark. Additionally, there are sweet tropical fruits like mango and passionfruit, presenting as jam or pureed with sugar rather than fresh. Taste: Sugary, with a compote of dogwood and sour cherries, abundant sweetness, complexity, and warmth. An excellent start! Wow! Followed by more sugar, brown sugar, light coffee, and sweet dark chocolate. This is the taste experience. Finish: Long, warm, with a dense mouthfeel, evoking fireplace warmth and gingerbread with cherry jam.

Another excellent Benriach creation. Blood oranges, caramel, sultanas, dessert wine. Not on the same level as the 18 yr Albarize, but still very enjoyable. A few drops of water improved it significantly. Started at 4.25 but reached 4.5 by the end.
Amazing smell, packed with the scent of grapes!
Potent, yet refined and flavorful.
