Lila Grossman 3.0

Consumed neat in a Glencairn at home. Very pale in color. The initial aroma had notes of apples, astringent oak, and dusty hay. After resting a few minutes, notes of chalky fruity candy emerged. Interesting. The taste was slightly hot and astringent, with oak, spice, ethanol, and mild apple. Overall, it was just okay. Dated 1/27/2020.

Pedro Winters 3.0

Flat nose with slight apple scent; bitter, peppery palate with some wood oaks; sourness present; missing the sweetness that I expected; dull, mellow and not complex; hints of apple on finish.

A 50% ABV offering from Belmont Farm Bonded Virginia Whiskey. The nose has hints of light oak, barrel char, caramel, and apple. The palate reveals oak, spice, a musty quality, caramel, and hay. It starts off unpleasantly, but the finish is acceptable. Not to my taste.

Rufus Siegel 3.0

Corn, berries, and a hint of smoke on the nose. The palate has corn, light citrus, nuts, and an interesting oily texture with a slight sweetness.
