Belle Meade Select Cask XO Bourbon

A bourbon enthusiast's selection. A delightful aroma of sweet honey, followed by a mild rye spice and candy-like licorice. The palate is rich and sweet, featuring strawberry syrup and pecans, along with classic bourbon characteristics. The finish is shorter than anticipated but still satisfying. While not an everyday bottle, it is a good one nonetheless.

A dependable spirit for a relaxed Sunday. Despite its high proof, it offers adequate flavor (spice, nut, vanilla). While I'm not a connoisseur of cognac, its finish was clearly influenced by it. An interesting taste for those who appreciate novelty.

Tasted neat: The nose is barely perceptible. The palate is smooth and rich, a pleasant combination of caramel, vanilla, and a hint of wood. The finish has a slight alcohol burn.

Rich rum with undertones of berries and a pleasant sweetness. The flavor includes caramel, vanilla, oak, and dark berries. It's well-aged and complex.

Rich and smooth, with no harshness, strong chocolate notes, and a honey-sweet finish. Lacks sufficient flavor and complexity for its cost.

Decent Bourbon, but it offers very little memorable flavor from the Cognac FINISH.
