BarSol Italia appears to be their premium pisco. I've seen their blends and Quebranta and Torontel piscos, but Italia is usually the most costly. Since I'd never tried an Italia pisco before, I decided to go for it when I saw this bottle. Plus, I already had the other two, so it made sense. I haven't seen BarSol Torontel before, but maybe someday. The initial aroma wasn't what I expected at all; it was quite musty, similar to aged armagnac. However, the first few sips revealed an underlying sweetness with notes of blackberry and rosewater. The finish was surprisingly long with very little heat, especially compared to the other two I sampled. It had hints of green grape must, a bit of pepper, and a touch of sweetness. I was genuinely impressed with this bottle. I might increase my score later, but for now, it's 3.75. The bottle is almost three-quarters full, so perhaps it will open up with time, much like many mezcals taste better after a couple of months. Regardless, if you're looking to try pisco neat, this is likely one of your best options.

About this bottle
The BarSol Selecto Italia Pisco utilizes the aromatic italia grape, which is part of Europe's ancient muscat family. This grape imparts characteristic floral, citrus, and grape notes to the final spirit. Following production, the pisco is aged for three months in stainless steel tanks before it is bottled.
