Glass: Glencairn, allowed to rest for 15 minutes. Color: Medium amber. Nose: Nutty, with dried apricots and sweetness. Palate: Nutty, oaky, with rye spice. Finish: Medium in length and heat. Splash: Tames the rye spice, fruit notes re-emerge. Overall: 8.5/10 - An excellent pour, but prohibitively expensive for a daily beverage. Everything from Barrell has been superb. I will certainly experiment with it in cocktails!
