Barrell Bourbon Private Select release

This is a Barrel bourbon private select blend #C14C, bottle #188. It's a mix of 5, 7, 10, and 17-year-old whiskey. Nose: Orange zest, caramel, and brown sugar. Palate: Vanilla, tobacco, a touch of orange peel, and a lot of barrel spice. She's a feisty one. Finish: Long, lingering Kentucky warmth deep in the chest. This is a whiskey for a cold night by a low fire. That lingering sensation is intense. Spicy!!!! Overall: 4/5 stars. It had sweetness at first, then it's a wild ride of a finish. This is one of those pours where you know you're drinking serious whiskey.
