This batch, 003, appears to differ somewhat; this bottle is number 679, with 52.65% alcohol. At 105.3 proof, it's better with ice to help it develop. The aroma offers notes of cherry, vanilla, and newly made whipped cream. The taste begins with a subtle peach sweetness, then the alcohol becomes apparent; the feel is rich and smooth. The conclusion presents mild baking spices and hints at the port/sherry cask finishing it received.

Simultaneously smooth and spicy with pronounced rye character. Quite easy to drink despite the high proof. The finish is brief.
Sweet at first, but has a slight bite like Jack Daniels as it goes down.
Dry and sweet.
