Smells of vanilla and caramel, and you can detect the distinct aroma of French oak barrels. The 300-year-old oak barrels really mellow out the bourbon. A fantastic pour.

About this bottle
Bardstown Bourbon Co.'s Distillery Reserve Cathedral French Oak is the inaugural release in their Distillery Collection, which will showcase whiskey experiments using two to nine barrels. The Kentucky straight bourbon blend has aged between 9 and 18 years and was subsequently finished in barrels crafted from 300-year-old French oak sourced from the Bercé Forest in the Loire Valley. This oak was originally selected for the restoration of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris after the 2019 fire. Limited quantities will be offered exclusively at the BBCo. gift shops in Bardstown and Louisville starting February 28, 2025, with a suggested retail price of $99.99 for a 375ml bottle.
