This is a complex spirit, combining two ryes and a bourbon, treated with four different staves, then reblended with a 17-year-old Tennessee whiskey. The nose is beautifully sweet with light cherry cola, pie crust, oak, leather, and clove in the background. The palate isn't quite as complex, but features many of the same notes, with oak leading, followed by spicy pepper, fading to pie crust, and finishing with slightly astringent alcohol. The nose is the best aspect of this whiskey, and interestingly, I only detect the astringent finish if I don't smell it first.

Sweet nose, oily smooth mouthfeel and a warm cinnamon finish. Excellent! Purchased at the distillery. Finished this bottle tonight; still amazing! Wonderful sweetness, viscous mouthfeel and just the right amount of heat on the finish. Recommend picking one up! It’s on my shopping list for my next trip to Bardstown!
Aroma is fantastic. It's sweet and oaky, hitting all the right notes. The palate presented significant wood and oak presence. Going back to it reveals a flavor of burnt vanilla caramel – imagine brewing a vanilla caramel coffee, letting it sit for an hour, then reheating it in the microwave. While that sounds unpleasant, it actually tastes better than it sounds. However, it's excessively focused on the wood element. It's decent, but not a drink I'll frequently choose.
The aroma brings vanilla icing, notes of toffee/heath bar, along with some baking spice and woody undertones. The taste is full-bodied, smooth, and incredibly balanced. It features salted caramel, strong oak, and hints of cedar, then unfolds with bold cinnamon and a persistent finish. This bottle is a winner. Bardstown consistently delivers.
An incredible aroma that immediately captivates. The palate is less intense, starting with spice and transitioning to a very woody finish. Excellent mouthfeel and viscosity. Overall, an outstanding whiskey. I would have rated it 4.75, but deducted 0.25 for its price point.
The aroma is intense with vanilla, butterscotch, and spice. It has a full mouthfeel. Complex flavors include vanilla, a hint of chocolate or a port-like taste, and a fantastic cinnamon heat finish
