A friend and I both bought a bottle during my recent trip to Bardstown. Last night, he hosted my wife and me for a blind tasting of six bourbons (I haven't opened my bottle yet). This was a strong second place to the PH 2010 Cask Strength Wheated Bourbon. That's significant, as I really enjoy high-proof, aged wheaters. It's also noteworthy that I rated it higher than Blanton's Gold. This is a sweet, complex, and rich bourbon, exactly what I'd expect for a $200 bottle. I don't usually rate bourbons on a single tasting, and I'll update this review once I open my bottle, but it's clearly an excellent bourbon. It's worth mentioning that my friend shared the same opinion.
