Bardenay Rye Bottled-In-Bond

Nose: Apple juice, faint vanilla, oak Palate: Pepper, spice, more faint vanilla Finish: Brief but spicy An easy-drinking rye with the expected spicy notes. Thin, straightforward, with no obvious flaws as a sipper, just very average.

Heat with some vanilla. Somewhere between sagamore and rittenhouse. Good Manhattan option. A little on the young side.

Extra spicy rye kick, medium richness. They allowed the rye to be the star in this one.

Though it's young, I appreciated the sweetness followed by a spicy character.
