An elegant Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Regent Distillers, crafted with a mash bill containing less than 20% rye. It was aged for at least 5 years in Bardstown, Kentucky, and bottled at 40% ABV. It begins aromatically with notes of grain, wood, nuts, and spices. A rich middle develops with notes of maple syrup, caramel, brown sugar, and vanilla. It finishes with a balanced, medium-length taste of walnut, nutmeg, and charred oak. Thinner, but with some nice high notes. A slight citrus hint under the smooth, syrupy taste, not overwhelming. It feels a little hot, even with ice, but it's a pleasant sensation. Overall, a bit young, but decent. A drink that's slightly better than an everyday choice.
An aroma of oak, grape, char, and vanilla. The palate has oak, vanilla, char, and caramel. It starts sweet with a lightly spiced finish. Unremarkable.
This is quite enjoyable. It has a good bourbon flavor upfront and no burn on the way down. A hint of fruitiness. Well done.
An adequate bourbon, lacking sufficient flavor and possessing a harsh character. Suitable for cocktails.
Hard to define - not bad initially but don’t like the aftertaste. Not great
