Let me start by saying I'm a huge fan of a particular brand and absolutely love their peat series. I splurged at the airport duty-free, very eager to try something a bit older. The last one I enjoyed was the 14-year-old. I'm underwhelmed. It's good but not great. Too sweet, syrupy, and the peat doesn't integrate well. I paid too much to give this a rating higher than 80.

A distinctive peated whisky that avoids overwhelming peatiness.
