About this bottle

Ballantine’s Limited was developed by Master Blender Sandy Hyslop, the fifth individual to hold this distinguished position in the brand's over 180-year history. This expression, without an age statement, is composed of a blend of exceptionally rare malt and grain whiskies, encompassing both young and mature spirits sourced from distilleries across Scotland. Originally launched in 2000, its packaging underwent a redesign and was reintroduced in 2010. It is bottled at 43% ABV.

A higher proof version of the standard Ballantine's, giving it a bit more flavor depth. Bottled at 43% ABV. On the nose, very direct. Vanilla, custard cream, cookie dough. Mostly sweet. On the palate, vanilla, herbal spices, tea, chocolate, caramel, and "melcocha." The aftertaste has a ginger note mixed with wisps of smoke. It's your typical Ballantine's, just with a little more kick. Overall, this is a 78/100 dram.
