Lillie Tracy 1.5

Nose: smoky, light wet ash aroma, sweetish, mild vanilla, fruity orange, sweet orange preserve, slightly citrusy, fresh sugarcane, light American oak woodiness, and barely perceptible alcohol. The aromas are very simple but pleasant. Palate: sweet, smoky, ash, alcoholic, spicy, unexpected bitterness, citrusy bitter orange, and light woodiness. There's a correspondence with the nose, including its simplicity. The bitterness isn't well integrated with the sweetness, making the experience somewhat unpleasant due to its imbalance. Finish: short and simple, dominated by a harsh bitterness and alcohol heat. General Impressions: a whiskey that raised expectations but disappointed me. The bourbon cask finish added little complexity to the final product, and I expected more flavor presence from it. The price isn't high, but it doesn't offer good value. Outside of Brazil, this whiskey is sold as aged 7 years, but the Brazilian version is NAS. A shame. Recommended only for drinks.
