The nose initially presents a funky cheese with peach notes. While it sounds unappealing, it smells delicious. After sitting for a considerable time, notes of vanilla, tobacco, and tannins emerge, along with a hint of freshly cut white oak. The palate begins with a good amount of heat and pepper, which develops into pure vanilla, overripe peach/apricot, and leathery tannins. The flavor becomes more complex as it sits, revealing baking spices, cinnamon, and clove. The finish is decently long, with pepper, tobacco, and brown sugar appearing at the bottom of the glass. Very pleased with the purchase and the experience!
