Damien Ferrer 3.5

I typically avoid Single Malts and peated whiskies. However, this offering from ASW truly impressed me. The distillers demonstrate skill in creating excellent whiskey, and I thoroughly enjoyed this pour, especially considering it's a single malt.

Cherry Banks 4.5

I'm really getting cherry cola and caramelized bacon notes, with a smoky, BBQ-like quality. It certainly has more intense flavors on the palate than most Islay single malts; perhaps the name hints at this.

Danna Vega 4.0

Not overly peaty, with pleasant smoky notes reminiscent of BBQ. Clearly not Islay level, representing more of an introductory peat experience. Nevertheless, a very enjoyable small serving. (The cask strength version is even more impressive)

Stephan Fisher 4.0

Thoroughly enjoyed. I plan to buy more for myself, but it's too smoky for broad appeal.

Annika Joseph 3.0

It's acceptable if you're a fan of peated whiskies. It differs somewhat from Islay scotches.

Cheryl France 4.0

Noticeable burn and peat smokiness. Good malt foundation too.
