A decent pour. It has a substantial peat character and goes down easily, though it lacks complexity. Shared with several friends during a whiskey tasting. I certainly prefer it to the legacy version.
Evokes: Texas barbecue Mesquite smoke, but lacking more complexity to elevate it to a 4. Lovely mouthfeel and finish, though.
My first encounter with peated whisky. It opens up nicely with two tablespoons of water. Full-bodied with a slight smoky character.
A rather satisfactory pour, but without any smokiness, I'm uncertain if it offers significant depth.
A light, smooth, sweet aroma, with a moderate burn in the mouth and a subtly sweet flavor.
