I was eagerly anticipating the Ardbeg special tasting. Unfortunately, they selected my two least favorite Ardbegs along with a special edition and only offered cask strength versions. To reveal a spoiler, the third was this year's pinot noir. I wasn't sure if it had been released before, but it had in Japan back in 2003. I saw one retailer asking $1000 USD for it... unbelievable! Sadly, it was largely wasted on me, and I left early. I did try this after the Glendronach 25 Master Vintage and 24 Grandeur, so perhaps it would have been better experienced before them. Regardless... disappointed.
