Maia Block 3.0

I purchased this bottle in Cheyenne, WY. The aroma is quite subtle, with a mild caramel scent. I also noticed a faint hint of cardboard, but it wasn't unpleasant. The flavor is similarly light. There's a touch of alcohol warmth, beneath which lies a subtle caramel sweetness. While the label states it's made from 'bourbon mash,' I'm unsure of the exact mash bill; however, it seems to contain more malted barley than a typical bourbon. Overall, it's an acceptable whiskey, best suited for those who prefer lighter spirits.

Janiya Preston 1.5

Aroma: Peaches, grapes, apple, with a brandy-like character. Taste: Faint hints of vanilla, tannic oak, and bitterness. Finish: Brief, with almost no lingering taste. The description as being made with 10-liter pot stills and a dream suggests they might need to continue dreaming. The aroma was interesting with its fruity notes, but the taste is completely lacking. Thin and without a finish, this whiskey initially seemed like a total waste. However, after a few more sips, I detected slightly more on the palate, but overall, it's a pass for me.

Brian Lyons 3.5

The cloudiness and sediment visible in the bottle immediately caught my attention. Matured in a wine cask, the appearance is attractively unrefined. The aroma is sweet, with notes of red wine and black currant, accompanied by a subtle background hint of warm plastic. The palate is very light at the forefront, so much so that the wine barrel notes dominate. There's definitely more complexity, but I lack the experience to discern it.

Rashad Doyle 3.0

A bit sweeter and smooth, with hints of honey and caramel. It's almost like Irish whiskey but retains the maltiness of bourbons, which makes sense given the bourbon mash bill.

Dwight Calderon 3.8

Slightly toasted, with subtle notes of vanilla and peach. Overall, a smooth whisky.

Willie Jeffries 5.0

Pleasant, smooth taste and finish. Easy to drink.
