It’s a bit hotter than expected for 100 proof, so adjust accordingly to taste. Oak is the dominant initial impression, showing signs of maturity. As the heat subsides, a grape note emerges, along with more evident barrel finishing characteristics. It possesses good depth but loses points for being somewhat harsh at its price point. It offers about 1.5 times the quality of a standard bottle of Angel's Envy for five times the price.

Slightly disappointing. The nose was rather faint, while the palate was adequate, smooth, with subtle hints of the finish.
