About this bottle

This four-grain straight bourbon is produced from a mash bill containing 60% corn, 9% rye, 20% wheat, and 11% malted barley. Maturation takes place in new, charred American oak, and the spirit is diluted with New York state limestone-filtered water drawn from a nearby aquifer. It is bottled at 92 proof.

Helen Yoon 2.5

A delicate Four Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Crowell Spirits in Wallkill, New York, made with local ingredients and Hudson Valley mineral water. It begins with an aromatic profile of grain, spices, and wood; a gentle middle adds notes of cereal grains; leading to a balanced, medium-length finish with hints of toasted oak, cedar, and butterscotch. Elizabeth Grady 3.3

What? Not from Kentucky? This is a pretty decent bourbon, making it enjoyable to sip, with an interesting mix of mid-range flavors. It firmly sits in the middle shelf category.

Diamond Newkirk 3.3

Moderate depth, subtle garrigue, not a lot of complexity but very enjoyable on the palate. Works well in a Manhattan.

Harold Skipper 3.3

Caramel and oak. Smooth with a pleasing finish, though not exceedingly complex.

Teagan Forman 3.0

Prominent oak, licorice, and candy apricot.

Miguel Fenton 3.0

Oaky and spicy notes.
