The aroma is cinnamon, spice, and vanilla; even after six months open, it's still packed with ethanol. The palate is hot and dry, with a fleeting sweetness of vanilla that quickly returns to hot and dry. It leaves a numbing sensation on the gums. Adding water diminishes the brief sweetness, leaving only a hot and dry experience from beginning to end. Flying Ace is a great establishment with fantastic farm-to-table food and excellent specialty beers. I suggest visiting for the food and beer, but skip the spirits.

It brings to mind my grandfather's whiskey. I'm not sure why, but I enjoy it.
