This Scotch is alright for what it costs. I'll finish it, but I won't repurchase it because there are other fantastic, affordable Scotches out there. (Brands like Macallan, Glenlivet, Chivas, and others provide a superior Scotch at a comparable price.)

About this bottle
This single malt, sourced from an undisclosed Highland distillery and bottled by Alexander Murray & Co., initially matures in ex-bourbon barrels. It then undergoes a finishing process in casks that once contained Sauternes, a sweet wine from France's Bordeaux region. This no-age-statement bottling is presented at 40% ABV.

The color is a deep golden yellow, akin to vegetable oil. The nose is sweet, with a hint of floral notes, heather, and candy corn. The palate begins with sweet honey and pineapple, distinct white wine acidity, a touch of barrel influence, and concludes with a white wine finish.
Pleasant, delicate, with notes of honey and citrus; not as robust as the oak cask version and more approachable.
