Sweet caramel and burnt sugar on the nose, with subtle hints of fruit, and delicate enough to mask the heat. A light, clean body allows the heat through, though it adds some peppery notes to the dominant flavors of caramel, sugar, and vanilla. That said, banana and more of that indistinct fruit linger in the background. A long, sweet finish. Extremely pleasant to sip, but would also work well in an old fashioned or with a splash of cola.

Pleasing sweet scent. A sharp, quite strong spirit flavor, yet rather watery. (Note: My senses of smell and taste are diminished following a bout with Corona.)
The scent is quite faint, with a mellow taste all around, featuring traces of caramel and subtle spices, perhaps pepper.
Very mellow on the nose, sweetness develops into a smooth, gentle finish. An excellent rum for sipping.
Rich and sweet, but not overly so. Sophisticated. A special sipper if you can locate it.
Not excessively sweet. Pleasant spiced rum. Deep coloration. Blends well with water
