The finish is subtle initially but becomes more pronounced the longer it rests. Throughout, it's a genuinely delightful bourbon, and if you weren't aware of its production method, you wouldn't suspect a thing. I'm extremely pleased to have had the opportunity to try it. Truly enjoyable.

About this bottle
Gingerbread #2 marks the twentieth edition in A. Smith Bowman's experimental whiskey series. It starts with a traditional bourbon mash bill, distilled to 144 proof, and then aged for over seven years in new, charred American oak barrels. Subsequently, the bourbon was transferred to barrels that previously held gingerbread stout for more than three years. This limited edition bourbon, released in November 2020, was bottled at 110 proof.
