This is an extremely limited bottling, derived from only a few barrels. The Abraham is an annual experiment, and the intended experiment for Release 18 did not succeed. However, they had some excellent control barrels, and the resulting bourbon was offered to a select group at a special Bowman Distillery event (which is how I obtained mine) and through the Virginia lottery. Given the circumstances of how I acquired it, I haven't opened my bottle yet. However, I did sample it at the special Bowman event. From what I recall, it had a sweet aroma, was a complex burst of flavors, and surprisingly, you don't feel the heat from the 146+ proof at all. I'm fortunate to have acquired this one... I'll need to save it for a truly special occasion and important people.
