Wonderful. Smooth vanilla. Lively citrus. Thick berry notes. It’s a fantastic sweet, easily drinkable spirit that touches on many flavors. The Aberfeldy honey and orange blossom are immediately noticeable, and the wine contributes a delightful tang that provides a rich berry depth. I don't perceive the wine as a distinct flavor on its own; rather, it enhances an already solid 18-year-old with subtle oak and a strong berry pie essence. The finish isn't prolonged, but it's decidedly dessert-like on the palate. There's complexity here. I would purchase this regularly even at the $150+ price point.

This is the first Scotch from this distillery I have tried, and it didn't disappoint. The nose is fruity, with honey, berry, apples, and perhaps a little cinnamon sugar (like in a cinnamon roll) and a hint of mint. The palate brings more honey, pepper, and a little oak. The finish is a bit dry and medium in length, with more pepper/spice at the end. Overall, a very nice drink. I believe I got this on sale for just over $100. At that price, I'd get it anytime, any day.
Excellent. Nose: Dried grapes, sweet nectar, caramel candy, dates, dried cranberries, plums, creamy cocoa, tart apples, citrus, spearmint, spice, tart citrus, raw sugar Palate: Sweet nectar, cherries, peaches, dried grapes, creamy cocoa, nuts, walnuts, dates, plums, raspberries Finish: Creamy cocoa, bitter cocoa, strawberries, plums, sweet nectar, anise, tart citrus
I really enjoyed this; it's one of the best highland whiskeys I've had recently. Nose: cereal, tobacco, leather, licorice, fruity, ripe cherry, raspberry, plum, almonds, honey With water: tobacco is noticeable, with plenty of ripe fruit Palate: vanilla, with the wine finish really coming through Finish: soft
Nose: Woody, maple syrup with a touch of vanilla Taste: Spicy baked goods with oranges Finish: Dry sweetness with a hint of licorice
Sweet and smooth. Vanilla and nutmeg flavor. Truly wonderful!
