About this bottle
Distilled in September 1997 and presented by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS), this single cask release is categorized among their "Peated" offerings. It matured for 20 years in a refill oloroso sherry butt before being bottled at cask strength, 55.9% ABV. Consistent with all SMWS bottlings, it is non-chillfiltered. This whisky was launched to commemorate the 2018 Fèis Ìle, also known as the Islay Festival, being one of three expressions created for the event.
