After a period of drinking Rittenhouse, my initial impression of this was an overly prominent alcohol taste. However, after spending a few more evenings with it, my perception has shifted, and I now recognize its well-crafted nature. It's a very good bonded rye that delivers the expected spicy notes of sweet anise and licorice. I only wish the cost was as easy to handle as the whisky itself.
