Bottle directly from Iceland. Aromas are quite unusual: vegetal, small unripe berries, even iodine. A subtle woody note is present but still damp/green, and of course, juniper berries. On the palate, the initial sweetness is striking, light, fruity, and oily, with a nice boreal/vegetal character, definitely angelica, also rhubarb, local young berries, even a little sugar, and juniper again, which isn't the primary focus. The finish lacks the usual spicy and sharp aspect; the alcohol seems well-controlled, allowing appreciation of the local flavors. An excellent gin.
