The palate is remarkably smooth with only a slight spicy touch as it fills the mouth with charred oak, ripe fruit, and grain. The whiskey quickly softens, with charred oak and grain becoming the main flavors after a second sip. The finish is medium length with a touch of spice that leaves a tingling sensation, as the charred oak, which has become nearly astringent, fades quickly. It could benefit from a bit more aging to refine the grassy and grainy notes. Otherwise, this whiskey has significant potential to be incredibly flavorful.
