Another first! Nose: Offers caramel, vanilla, nougat, oak, pancake, butterscotch, and a hint of maple. Aside from some unwelcome ethanol, it's quite inviting. Palate: Opens with milk chocolate, French toast, rice pudding, nutmeg, toffee, raisin, and pipe tobacco. Like a candy bar in a glass. Finish: Brings caramel sauce, crème brûlée, cinnamon, white pepper, and bitter oak. The mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium-bodied and nicely slick. There's a sharpness lurking beneath, felt on the side of the tongue, suggesting youth or perhaps the result of finishing, as it's reminiscent of cheap white rum. Overall: The best of the series by a significant margin and one of the top 1792 products I've ever had. It has flaws, but much to like, and at $49.99, it's a solid value. Will rebuy.
