Wow, a first review! Here we go. The secondary finish comes through on the aroma, which is generally fruity with notes of peach, white wine (yes, Pinot Noir, even though it's red, it smells like it), caramel, vanilla, and a subtle hint of oak. The alcohol burn is a bit more noticeable than preferred. The taste presents typical vanilla, caramel, and some toffee. There are vibrant hints of strawberry, blackberry, and fig. The flavors aren't very intricate or deep, suggesting a younger spirit. The finish is where it gets intriguing. Notes of leather, oak, Concord grape, nutmeg, more strawberry, and cinnamon appear. The texture is light but pleasantly airy, not rough. It lasts longer than anticipated. It's a solid attempt with some engaging flavors, but ultimately, finishing a young spirit is like trying to make something bad seem good; it doesn't quite succeed. For $49.99, the cost is reasonable, but there are too many issues for me to consider buying it again.
