From Joe’s Beverage Warehouse, this 109 proof (54.5%) single barrel, #7347020, was barreled on 3/24/16. Aroma: A pleasant mix of oak and pepper, with detectable dark fruits, a hint of spice, and brown sugar. Taste: The initial sip presented oak, vanilla, and bubblegum – an unexpected but distinctive start. Subsequent sips revealed the bubblegum fading, replaced by more baking spices, brown sugar, and upfront oak, which reappeared on the lengthy finish. Packed with flavor, this is excellent value at $60 for a single barrel. Highly recommended.

From Daveco's single barrel selection, this is barrel # 7347002, chosen on 5.26.21. It's 93 proof. The aroma is characteristic of bourbon, with notes of caramel and cinnamon. It has a pleasant, smooth texture on the palate. Flavors include vanilla, baking spices, anise, perhaps a hint of dill, and peanut. The finish lingers for a moderate duration.
The oak taste is fantastic. This is definitely one I'll be sharing. As always, I give it my highest recommendation. I enjoyed it neat.
