To the folks at brown-forman/Woodford: please consider another release of this product. Increase the proof, perhaps extend the aging, and reduce the amount of Woodford wheated bourbon in your blends. Crucially, make it more affordable. If you do this, I believe it could become a staple in the finished American whiskey market for bourbon enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Finished spirits are rapidly gaining popularity. From my observation, once people experience a well-made wine-finished whiskey, they seek out the best examples. It's a real treat. This particular expression has that potential, and Woodford would be a suitable company to pursue this. I have ordered this whiskey and nearly purchased a bottle today, but the $249.99 price tag gave me pause (that's the kind of pricing you see in specialty shops for rare bottles), and it's the only place I've seen it, despite living only 75 miles from the distillery. However, even at MSRP, it's still too expensive. Get people hooked first, then raise the prices! Haha.

The 20th installment in the Master's Collection from Woodford Reserve features a distinctive blend of Bourbon, Rye, and Wheat Whiskeys, each individually finished in Madeira wine casks. This blend is then enriched with the addition of Woodford Reserve Wheat Whiskey. It will be available at select retailers nationwide starting October 15, 2024, at a proof of 45.2% ABV, with a suggested retail price of $179.99.

Nose: Fantastic aroma with vanilla, oak, and a moderate amount of banana Palate: Lighter with sweetness from wine and citrus notes Finish: Short finish featuring vanilla, oak, and a hint of spice If it had a higher proof or was cask strength, this would have been exceptional.
Been open for about two months. Almost gone. Nose is nice, rich, dark fruit Taste sweet, dark fruit, lots of maple syrup. Mouth feel is light. It's not overly complex but a solid finished bourbon but not worth the price. I do enjoy it
A very smooth bourbon with notes of caramel, subtle chocolate, and Madeira – quite surprising. It's a solid overall pour that stands out from typical bourbons.
This is fantastic. Rich fruit forward notes. Only wish they'd bump it up to like 105 proof.. otherwise it's near perfection delicious sipper.
Initially, notes of dark fruit and maple emerge, leading to a finish of tobacco. It's smooth and easy to consume, but it lacks depth considering its price.
