Tried the higher proof, single barrel version. Smells very yeasty, surely due to the blue corn used. A solid, distinct aroma. Feels buttery and smooth on the tongue with many standard bourbon flavors. Excellent taste overall. Similar to ECBP. Lingering finish with minimal heat. This isn't an inexpensive bottle, but it's a great pour worth experiencing. It's the best wood hat bottling I've personally had. You likely won't be let down if you appreciate rich, indulgent flavors in your bourbon. It's definitely a great pour.

Dion Downing 2.5

Sherry wine is prominent on the nose. The initial taste brings sherry wine, tannins, char, and oak. There's a brief burn initially that quickly subsides. The finish is lacking. Adding ice doesn't significantly alter the profile. With ice, hints of tannin and char persist. The sherry notes have diminished, and the finish is even more subdued. It lacks complexity, and the strong sherry presence isn't appealing to me. It's not a preferred choice.

Adalyn Lacey 3.3

The aroma is heavy with corn, and the spice is just right. The 100 proof was ideal for this. The alcohol is present but not overpowering. I detect a lot of grain, but not much wood, given its short two-year age. The finish brings spice and hints of leather.

Felix Medeiros 3.5

Dark appearance. Grassy nose yet rich simultaneously. Barrel oak throughout with some char/smoke on the finish. Overall good value for the cost

Junior Rojas 2.0

Um, well, likely better suited as a mixer. Interesting flavor. I'm certain someone enjoys it.

Robin Marsh 3.5

Enjoyable and piquant. The distinct woody character is apparent. I need to sample this again.
