Appears golden straw in color. Surprisingly light for a 5-year-old product. A few legs formed very slowly. The aroma is rich with corn and dry oak. Hints of vanilla and confectioners sugar, along with musty notes and other malt characteristics. The smell matches its appearance... Quite sweet initially, and the sweetness persists throughout... This tastes and feels much better than its appearance and aroma suggest... notes of creamed corn, vanilla pudding, and abundant malt. There was a slight cardboard/cornflake note that was a bit distracting, but the surprising length of the finish and what it lacks in complexity and depth is compensated for by the pleasant mouthfeel and unexpected mid-palate.

The aroma is very woody, with oak, corn, and possibly a touch of sherry. The flavor is a bit rough but opens up with a little water, revealing notes of oak, toffee, and cedar.
Nose: woven material, wood shavings, botanical notes, very homemade Taste: sweet like overly-colored sports drink, maize, a hint of vanilla, woody
