William Lawson's Blended Scotch Whisky

It's acceptable. Rated 7.2 out of 10, though I had it at a restaurant. This $17 bottle of whiskey should be bad but it's not. Quite sugary and smooth, not intricate, very direct but pleasant. It's nearly a confection. Contains 40% alcohol, with a pale golden hue. Initially, the aroma presents a faint perfumed peat, which then gives way to caramel, honey, vanilla, lemon, and a whisper of tobacco. Nothing extraordinary, but decent. Amusing on the nose for the cost. On the tongue, it's very mild, light in body, starting with caramel, then shifting to peat and a spicy sensation. A lengthy but rough conclusion, with notes of ash and peat. I was surprised by how good this blended scotch was for its price and its relative obscurity. Bacardi owns this label. Light on the palate, with prominent malty, biscuit, and wheaty notes. An alcohol aroma is present, along with hints of pineapple, citrus, and very faint smoke. It lacks smoothness and finishes harshly, resembling a high-alcohol beer. Not terrible.

Very herbal, mint or spearmint notes with a spicy start of cinnamon and clove, some vanilla, a very short and alcoholic finish, a little smoky, and tastes too much like young whisky

The aroma is reminiscent of moonshine, and it's unpleasant until you mix in about 5% of something similar to Zubrowka Zlota, at which point it makes for a pleasant cocktail.

This whiskey is light and brings notes of biscuit and apricot. It's acceptable but fails to impress. It would be better suited for cocktails.

Very malty blend and you can't beat the price of 6 USD per bottle 😁. Best enjoyed on the rocks to bring out the maltiness.
