About this bottle

Westland's third yearly Peat Week event is honored with this release. It is a blend of five first-fill bourbon casks and three new American oak casks. The malt used in the whiskey is Baird's Heavily Peated Distiller's Malt. The spirits aged between 25 and 37 months, and the final product is 100 proof. In total, 2,136 bottles were produced.

Aroma: green apple, banana skin, cinnamon & charred jalapeños Palate: resembles honey-glazed Easter ham, pineapple cooked on a grill Finish: fresh mown grass, malted grain

This is a great peated whisky, though it had a slight harshness on my first try. I'll need to taste it again.
