The label on my bottle indicates 120 proof, Barrel 30, 4 years old. The aroma suggests youth and contains many notes I don't typically associate with bourbon. Almonds, toasted oak in a way that suggests burning green wood, Ovaltine. As it sits, it increasingly smells like Ovaltine, then chocolate breakfast cereal. It's reminiscent of Corsair Ryemageddon's aroma. Taste: this is peculiar. I don't dislike it, but... I'm not fond of it. Positives: low burn for its proof with a long finish and a gentle, enduring warmth. It does possess an Ovaltine or Nesquik quality, similar to many whiskeys featuring chocolate rye malt, despite the absence of rye. Negatives: it tastes young, somewhat thin, and truly unusual. I understand rye is substituted with oat in the mashbill. I'm uncertain if the oat is responsible for this artificial character or if it's the youth. I suspect it's the youth. This needs more maturation time. I cannot advise anyone to purchase this without trying it first. However, I've encountered worse for $35.

I've been trying to give this bottle away since I first tasted it. If you like it, it's yours. Nobody has taken me up on it yet. Just awful. They should be embarrassed to produce this.

This drink tastes like turpentine. Stay away from it.
