The Very Old St. Nick Distillery is owned and operated by Marci Palatella, who also owns Preservation Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Winter Maple Rye Whiskey is a flavored whiskey using a Canadian rye base with added natural flavor, possibly maple syrup. It starts aromatically with honey and dried fruit; a full-bodied middle introduces grape, port, and botanicals; leading to a long and intense finish with berries, cranberry, vanilla, and caramel.
