Tullamore D.E.W. 12 Year Sherry Cask Finish

Nose: Very aromatic with notes of sherry, fruitcake, raisins, and pastry. Palate: An initial burst of fruit. Raisins and figs, accompanied by sweet and tart apples. The apple flavor then fades, returning to fruitcake – dark fruits and pastry/bread. Finish: Oak, slightly bitter, and a subtle sharpness often found in budget Irish blends. I suspect it originates from the grain whiskey component of the blend, though it's not pronounced. This is the sole drawback of this whiskey, but overall, I truly, truly enjoy it.

It tastes like rhubarb pie with strong notes of punching your best friend in the face.

Tastes sweet, with aromas of nuts and orange, and a slightly viscous texture.

Among my favorites, with a distinctive and sweet flavor.

Smooth. A slight sweetness. No spice or heat.

Hints of cinnamon, perhaps some spicy qualities.
