Tulchan Gin is produced as a London Dry Gin, despite being distilled in Scotland's Speyside region. The botanicals are inspired by the flora and fauna of the Tulchan Estate, located along the River Spey. Alongside juniper and traditional elements like angelica and licorice root, the small-batch gin incorporates sloe berries, elderflower, blackberry leaves, and asparagus. Global distribution commenced in the UK and US in July 2022, with subsequent launches planned for Latin America, the Caribbean, Panama, and the Dominican Republic later in 2022.

Tuchan Gin carries a premium price but lacks premium quality. The scents of juniper, coriander, and citrus are inviting. The initial taste is sweet, with a balanced palate of juniper, licorice, coriander, and citrus. The finish concludes with juniper and a subtle note of bitter citrus peel. Tuchan Gin does not blend well and is unremarkable when consumed straight.
Abundant with juniper, this is a robust gin possessing significant character. It's subtly sweet and floral, with a medium body and an exceptionally long finish. Bright, pleasant, and in a modern London Dry style, it's an excellent starting point for gin cocktails, from a classic Martini to a contemporary Gin Gin Mule.
It appears to be receiving high ratings from various sources; it is certainly a good "dry" gin, possessing potency and aromas, but it didn't quite live up to expectations for its local market price.
