(Nantou) Wow! The aroma is faint and papery, but one sip and, incredible - peat and smoke blast you! Fiery, zesty, charred wood. It possesses an almost meaty BBQ essence when tasted straight. A few drops of water tame most of the smoke and reveal subtle molasses notes (reminiscent of rum). It becomes a much more approachable and highly enjoyable drink with water.
