This Kentucky straight bourbon results from a partnership between Oregon's Hood River Distillery and Clear Creek Distillery. It is produced in Kentucky and aged in new, charred American oak before being transported to Hood River, Oregon. There, it is finished in local oak and diluted with glacial spring water from Mt. Hood. The final proof is 90.

The aroma is this dram's strong suit, featuring chocolate hazelnut with earthy undertones and brown sugar. The palate is very thin with stewed fruit, juniper, finishing softly spicy with a lot of oak, like tasting a twig. Some might appreciate its soft texture. I feel this doesn't live up to its price point or 8-year age statement; it's too diluted.
This is a solid bourbon for its price if you enjoy smooth oak and vanilla notes. It's not as rich as Woodford Double Oak, but it's definitely a dependable bourbon.
Excessive oakiness. Dominant vanilla flavors alongside a touch of caramel. Works well with Coke, but not ideal for drinking straight.
Very Oakey with a mild smoky taste. Not very pleasant on its own, but pairs great with cola.
