Tonka Gin Limited Edition 2017

I sampled this gin at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como in Italy. It is unavailable in the US because it's made with tonka beans, which are prohibited here. Tonka beans contain a substance related to the blood thinner coumarin, hence the prohibition. The taste is distinctive, very much like cinnamon with a hint of almond. I drank it in a mixed drink at the bar, so I couldn't smell or taste it neat. I'd welcome another opportunity to try it and keep a bottle with my other "have you tried this?" gins.
