I was eager to try a local spirit but ended up disappointed. The flavor was excessively oaky, with too much tannin and leather for my preference. It had a distinct, off-putting taste that lingered. The recipe, apparently using 23% malted barley, might be the reason. It has a moderate amount of heat and feels slightly oily. I would not suggest it.
