About this bottle

This is the second offering in TINCUP's annual limited edition Fourteener series, which pays tribute to Colorado's peaks exceeding 14,000 feet in elevation. Quandary Peak, a favored Colorado hiking destination, is depicted on the bottle and represents the Ten Mile Range of the Rocky Mountains. The straight bourbon has been aged for 14 years in new, charred American white oak barrels and is diluted to proof using Eldorado Springs water. It became available online via the brand's website and at select retailers nationwide starting October 11, 2023, with a suggested retail price of $70.

Dewayne Mcmillian 4.0

Nose: This might sound odd, but it works. Smells like bubblegum toothpaste. I find myself enjoying it. Palate: Typical, well-aged, oaky, and caramelly deliciousness. Finish: Incredibly smooth. Fourteen years in a barrel really mellowed out the ethanol. It's uncommon to find a bourbon aged 14 years, and even rarer to find one that tastes good without being overly oaked. I'd pick this over Elijah Craig 18.

Wilford Mcknight 4.0

A lot of tastes emerge, making it tough to pin down. It's incredibly mellow and sweet, yet no single note is prominent. I'm not detecting the vanilla and caramel noted in the description. Likely not a good value for the money.

Mikayla Pagan 4.3

A little smoke, vanilla, sweet, overall a good pour.

Merrill Dobson 4.5

Smooth, excellent bourbon with a clean flavor profile

Betty Ko 2.8

Smooth and well-balanced.
